Biogas and biomethane is derived from the exploitation of waste from livestock (manure, manure and food scraps), food production (fruit and vegetable scraps, remnants of meat processing, fish and milk, leftovers from brewing, leftovers food, etc.) and industrial and municipal wastewater treatment plants.
Constructing biogas plants, agriculture makes an important contribution to energy produced from renewable and disposal of organic waste sources. Product of biogas production are the digestate, which can in turn be used as a high quality fertilizer. From an economic and ecological point of view, the application of the decree on the recycling and waste management are fully achieved by the construction of rural systems for the biogas treatment.
Biogas is produced by anaerobic fermentation of organic substances within a fermenter watertight. This fermenter converts the organic material into biogas using a complex biological process to about 38-55 ° C. More than half of the gas resulting from this process consists of methane (CH4), while the rest is carbon dioxide (CO2).
A thermal power plant block (CHP) with a generator converts natural gas into electricity and heat. Biogas is completely ecological and does not affect the amount of CO2 emissions. The production process generates only the amount of CO2 absorbed by plants through photosynthesis. In this way the ecological cycle closes.
